#TalkaLive : 4 Steps To Getting Things Done
Anything worth doing is worth doing.
Today on #TalkaLive (a fresh series from the table of Talka), we will be looking at just four of the important steps to getting any task, occupation, deadline, job, etc., done.
Everyday, we are faced with one task/assignment or another. Most times, they get so numerous that the only option we are left with is to have a little rest, wake up and continue! To be frank, the idea of rest is very essential but not when it makes you to shy away from a pressing responsibility.
This is a guide or more a motivational/instructional guide that will stir the urge of getting things done at the right time. Any time wasted can't be recovered. There is need to beat that temptation to get lazy, rest or have some nice time out with friends.
1. Always Note Things Down
This is sang every time there is a leadership, motivational or business seminar. There is this solid emphasis on the need to have a noted-down list of activities you are undertaking daily. With the efficiency of smartphone taking over, the task of noting down is now even made very easy. There are numerous free apps and paid ones too that will help you in this effortlessly.
Or better, if you ain't savvy with the multimedia thing, you can still go dust your traditional hard copy notebook, jotter, etc (or better get a new one) and get things written down. I still prefer this method because am close to my pen more than my phone's screen.
2. Start With The Most Important
After noting down, don't go and rest feeling successful. Not at all. You just made a headway. Now the next important step to take is to point out on the list which is the most needed task. The most needed task most time doesn't look the most important. But note this, that is where our integrity and image lies.
Even if the task is a personal one, you performing the most needed task, not minding how small, will give you a mindset/habit of being true to situations. You will gradually begin to tackle problems, tasks, fears as they come.

Very important you imbibe this attitude and continue with it.
3. Stop And Breathe
Yea very rare tip. You need to have a break while doing a task. The brain most times get stuck on the process of carrying out a task. If peradventure, you didn't give in to rest, you might run out of ideas which in turn will tempt you into delivering haphazard work.
Since the joy lies in an efficient/established result which in turn recommends us for bigger and higher pay ones, we have to put in this attitude into our everyday work : be it; workplace, church, home, etc.
You have to stop, watch, correct, breathe and then continue again.
4. Ask For Criticism
There is every assurance that you are done with this task. Bravo! But before you close the drawer and pick up another task, it will be better to really get done.
By really, we must make sure that the final product is really going to be accepted on final submission or exhibition. Take the finished task to potential consumers or people who have a bigger knowledge of the product and see what they have to say about it. Seek their critics more than praise.
Better if after the showing around, you were given a 100% approval (which i doubt). But if not, it's an opportunity to put in those last touches that will make your product worth the time.
You can still research more to find other tips! Google is always your friend.
